4-H
Contact:
4-H is the youth development program of the University of Tennessee Extension. 4-H encourages diverse groups of youth, grades 4th-12th, to develope their unique skills and talents to the fullest potential.
4-H prepares young people to become responsible, capable, and involved leaders and citizens. 4-H members "Learn By Doing". 4-H provides educational experiences for young people to gain knowledge, develop life skills and form positive attitudes.
Young people participate in 4-H through in-school clubs, special interest project groups, after-school programs, camps, livestock events, and many other activities.
4-H is a family affair. This includes the parent-child relationship and the extended family of community and state.
4-H is a unique blend of government, private business and volunteers working together to broaden the horizons of Jefferson County's and Tennessee's young people. 4-H is fun for both child and adult. 4-H is for YOUth!
